#HealthyLivingTipOfTheWeek – 1/26/18

One thing about Maryland……with the Chesapeake Bay running right through it, they LOVE their seafood! And preferably with a healthy sprinkle or two of Old Bay.

SeafoodHealthFacts.org says: “Seafood is a nutrient rich food that is a good source of protein, vitamins and minerals. Scientific studies continue to explore the relationship between the unique type of fat found in seafood, the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA, in the prevention or mitigation of common chronic diseases”.

Growing up in the South (Little Rock, Arkansas, if you please), I’m more used to seafood gumbo and fish markets where I can get salmon, tilapia, etc. and still be able to get a good portion of protein from it, but however you enjoy your seafood, enjoy it your way!

This week’s Healthy Living Tip shares TWO links AND a FREE PDF: one on 20 benefits of eating fish, which is very heart-healthy, and 45 seafood recipes that are delicious and healthy at the same time!
