Sorry for missing last week, am in the midst of planning new shows to film and just didn’t get around to posting.
This week’s Healthy Living Tip is a bit more on the serious side, in that we discuss colon health. Ok, nobody really wants to discuss colon cancer prevention……….until they HAVE to discuss colon cancer, more oft than not after they’ve gotten it. I know it’s gross, but too many people have died by just being nonchalant about what they eat and how it impacts this particular organ, especially as we get older. Doctors say the prime age to get a proper colon exam (and colonoscopy, should one be needed) starts at the age of 50. Lucky me, I’ve got 4 more years to go. I would urge anyone who hasn’t gone in for an examination or is afraid to go, better to find out now if you need treatment, than not. Would you rather be afraid……….or dead? Just some frank talk on a very serious topic. But be not afraid, we’re here this week to help allay whatever fears you may have by implementing simple changes that can help your colon to better health!
