The following was sent to me via email:
You have the power to create your own reality.
It’s a pretty amazing gift that we all possess.
My first experience with manifestation was shortly after I had started my business as a massage therapist.
I had everything that I needed, except a space to work from.
I didn’t want to work under an established spa, because I wanted the freedom to create exactly what I wanted for my business and career.
That meant that I was starting out at ground zero.
I had no clientele.
And I had no money.
I was drawn to attend a local gathering that focused on manifesting.
That night, I wrote down an intention that was centered on finding the right place to start my practice.
Less than a week later, I was approached by the owner of a local yoga studio who asked if I’d like to rent her treatment room for a reasonable price.
It was an agreement that not only provided me with a space to work from, but also introduced me to amazing people that would help direct me on my path as a small business owner.
I quickly realized that she was drawn to me because of the intention that I had put out into the Universe.
Since then, everything that I have tried to manifest with pure intention, has been brought into reality.
We can shape our reality and bring in the components that we need in order to create a happy and successful life through manifestation.
Manifestation is a powerful tool derived from the Law of Attraction.
Which can be summed up by the simple phrase, “Like attracts like”.
The thoughts that we think, the sentences that we speak and the actions that we move through all produce an energy that is continuously being projected outward, into the universe.
This energy then returns to us a reality that mirrors that which we have put forth.
Both positive and negative experiences are a result of the vibrational frequency that we are generating.
I knew a guy who had the belief stuck in his mind that the entire month of February was a cursed month.
He believed that every February only bad things would happen.
Once the winter holidays ended, he began dreading the impending doom that was surely to come.
And like clockwork, each February was indeed a tumultuous time for him.
Year after year.
Because he held onto this belief system so tightly and he believed it wholeheartedly, he did attract misfortune throughout this time.
Our belief systems are the foundation of our reality.
Energy follows thought, so simply the act of thinking something can pull the energy of that thought into our reality.
We can use this knowledge to bring into our lives the things that we want and need in order to fulfill our life’s purpose.
In order to manifest your dreams and desires, you simply need to build a belief system surrounding them.
Here are 6 steps to help you do just that.
1. Write down the intention that you wish to manifest.
When manifesting, it’s important to be specific and clear with the intention that you are working on bringing into reality.
Steer away from using broad and generic goals that don’t have a clear vision.
An example of this would be using an intention such as, “I bring abundance into my life.”
You may be trying to attract financial abundance, but instead you bring an abundance of work with little monetary gain.
To build a strong and clear foundation for your intention ask yourself these questions:
- What are the goals surrounding the need?
- What kind of person do you want to become as a result of this desire?
- Why do you want these things?
Once you’ve asked yourself these questions, take a look at your answers.
Where is your intention coming from?
What you’re looking for is the true reason for why you want to manifest this intention.
2. Identify what belief systems you have that are hindering your progression.
In order to be successful at manifesting our dreams, we must first confront and release the belief systems that are limiting our progress.
Limiting beliefs can become such a part of our everyday thought processes that it can be difficult to identify them.
They are generally the thoughts that we think about ourselves, and have a close correlation with our self-esteem.
These beliefs are the ones that hinder our ability to make progress with life in a positive way.
What is preventing you from taking action toward your goals?
What is preventing you from achieving success?
The first time I tried to identify my own limiting beliefs, it took me several days of pretty intensive inner reflection.
I kept thinking that I didn’t really have any…which is crazy.
We all have them.
What I finally realized, was that my limiting beliefs were so embedded in my psyche and so much a part of my core belief system that I didn’t even recognize them as limiting.
So, if they can be so deep in the subconscious that they’re unrecognizable then how can you find them?
While you’re thinking about your goal, imagine the process that it will take to achieve it.
Pay close attention to your emotional reaction during this exercise.
Where are the points of resistance that come to your awareness?
These feelings of resistance will be different for everyone, but they may look something like:
- Making excuses.
- Complaining about an aspect of the process.
- Indulging in negative thoughts.
- Limiting and unhelpful self-talk.
- Jumping to conclusions or making assumptions.
- Hesitation in expressing concerns or fears.
- Procrastination.
- Feelings of perfectionism.
- Excessive worry with no real cause.
- Fear of failure.
The more resistance you experience, the more limiting beliefs that are embedded somewhere in your consciousness.
Write down everything that you discover.
You will be ready to move on in this process once you feel confident that you have brought to light all of the limiting beliefs that are associated with your intention.
3. Turn those limiting beliefs into positive affirmations.
One of my limiting beliefs is a fear of judgement.
To change that into a positive affirmation, I use the statement:
“I am confident and secure in my uniqueness.”
If you have a fear of failure, your affirmation could be something like:
“There is no failure, only learning and growth. I am always successful.”
The key to writing affirmations is to write them in present tense.
The action of writing them down brings the positive side of those limiting beliefs into a physical form.
Hang them up in your office, kitchen or bathroom, somewhere you will see them regularly.
Say them out loud every chance you get.
It’s been scientifically proven that we can change the actual chemical makeup of our brain through the power of thought.
If we pay attention to the stories that our mind likes to tell, we will be able to identify when we’re thinking those limiting thoughts.
When you catch yourself in that state of mind, immediately replace the toxic thought with your positive affirmation.
You can either say it mentally, or physically out loud. Whichever feels right to you at the moment.
Every time you do this, you’re working towards releasing that limiting belief and replacing it with one that will help support your goals.
4. Meditate on your intention.
The term “meditation” can sound daunting to some.
So, it’s important to understand that you don’t need to be a meditation guru in order to do this.
The focus here, is to sit quietly with no distraction and to bring your intention into a place of stillness.
Turn off your electronics and find a quiet spot to get comfortable.
Think about your goal and bring your awareness to how your body feels during this time.
Take as long as you need, it could be as little as 2 minutes, or as much as 20 minutes.
There is no right or wrong way to meditate, so do whatever feels appropriate for you.
5. Infuse your intention with energy.
Start moving towards your goal.
Brainstorm ways to help propel you forward and then act on them, full force without hesitation.
Once you have released your limiting beliefs and have begun moving forward, you will be sending out energy that is vibrating at the same frequency as your intention.
This is when things will start shifting and aligning with your goals.
6. Trust.
The universe will do everything in its power to support your desires, so long as they’re coming from a place of pure intention.
Often times as we’re working towards our goals, we experience hiccups, or bumps along the way.
It’s imperative that when this happens, you trust in the process.
Don’t become discouraged and revert back to those limiting beliefs that you’ve worked so hard to change.
Face them with a positive mind and trust that everything will work out.
Trust that your goal will become a reality.
Manifesting is a delicate science, but it’s not a difficult one.
Bring your awareness to proactively attract the things that you want from life.
Once you do, you’ll find that if those things are in line with your highest good, they will be brought into your life effortlessly.
