Cancer…………………….need I say more?
Most of us either have or know someone close who has been affected by it; truth be told from a personal standpoint, it was the loss of my grandmother in 2010 that made me make my very first “In The KNOW” episode about cancer – its causes, treatments and ways to prevent it.
One of the easiest forms of treatment revolves around something simple as a trip to the grocery store: the food we eat! Granted, food isn’t the only answer; medical treatment must also be included in your health regimen.
Did you realize that 90% of cancers are caused by a combination of diet, lifestyle, and environment — and NOT genetics?
In fact, science tells us that the #1 thing you can do to prevent cancer is simple — eat the right foods.
You’ve probably heard that berries are good for you, but did you realize that the humble celery stalk has cancer-fighting properties?
It’s true…
Even though celery is around 95% water, this mighty green stalk contains two anti-cancer compounds: apigenin and luteolin.
Research reported in the well-respected Journal of Clinical Biochemistry and Nutrition found that apigenin was effective at causing apoptosis (cell suicide) in numerous types of cancer cells — particularly human breast cancer cells.
In addition, research from China suggests that eating two stalks of celery 2-3 times a week can reduce your risk of lung cancer by 60%.
And this is only one example of how to fight back against cancer with food.
When you download the FREE PDF below, you will discover about multiple vegetables and fruits:
- How a vegetable often used in tiny amounts as a garnish helps prevent cancers of the skin, colon, lung, and stomach…
- How eating one of these foods per day (smaller than a ping pong ball) can decrease the risk of breast cancer by 64%…
- A super-nut that protects against breast and prostate cancer…
- PLUS: 6 foods you should avoid due to their cancer-causing properties…
This week’s Healthy Living Tip covers celery and numerous other foods you can eat on the preventative maintenance side of the game to help minimize your chances of getting cancer! Eat To DEFEAT CANCER!
