The thyroid is one of the most important glands in the human body. It regulates calorie burning, cognitive function, and mental/emotional well-being, among other vastly beneficial things. Of course, adversely, an ill-functioning thyroid can contribute to:

• Lethargy
• Depressed mood
• Weight gain
• Fatigue
• Difficulty losing weight
• Forgetfulness
• Difficulty with concentration and focus
• Constipation
• Muscle cramping or discomfort
• Joint discomfort
• Feeling cold
• Lightheadedness
• Dry hair and skin
• Hair loss

Hypothyroidism, for example, is an underactive thyroid problem that can lead to obesity and heart disease.

With this heatwave which is now estimated to affect over 120 million Americans over the next several days, with heat indices to reach 108-111 degrees, now is not the time to play around with your health. Proof of which: former NFL player/Super Bowl winner Mitch Petrus, 32, passed away just yesterday of a heat stroke. 32 years old, NFL player, which means these folks physically are among the most elite in the world. A heat stroke got him! So none of us are exempt. Stay hydrated, stay centered, but most of all, stay healthy!!

Once you have downloaded the files, go to your desktop or the file you saved it to and double-click the file name to open it.
